Since 1997, C.J.Blacksmiths has carried on a tradition at The Smithy, Preston Brockhurst, Shropshire.  Established in 1851. Building upon an established smithy, which had served the local community for many years, In Early 2006 after almost 9 years at Preston Brockhurst, Chris Pickard, a established Traditional Blacksmith decided to relocate to new premises above the Mid Wales Village of Llangynog, Shropshire.

The role of the traditional Blacksmith has changed little in the 21st Century, even with the advent of computers and modern technology. C.J.Blacksmiths is very much a family run business, where Chris still serves the community and carries on the time honoured traditional skills of a true country blacksmith.

Even though the shoeing of horses has long disappeared, Chris and his team strive to produce all types of quality decorative ironwork and forgings to private and industrial customers.
